On the wrist, the 38mm Bambino wears an absolute treat. For most wrist sizes, I think this will look better than the original, which was a tad wide and flat.

I’ve filtered through all the junk and cherry-picked the best value watches under £50, the diamonds in the rough that you won’t regret buying and that will still remain affordable if prices keep rising.

Late last year, Timex released a bunch of interesting field watches under the Expedition North banner. On the surface, these seem to essentially be upgraded versions of the cheaper Weekender and Expedition watches.

Years before YouTubers were ramming MVMT and Vincero down your throat, there was another ‘affordable luxury brand’ being shilled en masse.

I’ve seen a few viable alternatives come and go, but recently I stumbled upon an option that may finally have surpassed it in raw bang for the buck.

Here’s a sentence I NEVER thought I would be saying on this blog. Fashion brand Lyle and Scott have created a mechanical wristwatch that comfortably beats the likes of Seiko, Orient and Casio…at least on paper!

This is codenamed the SYXS114, also known as the ‘Skinflag’ which is part of the ‘Skin Irony’ range. Falsely labelled on Amazon as a women’s watch, this is actually a unisex watch, as is evident from the stock images.

Maybe some Invicta models can be modest in both size and style? To find out, I spent what felt like 84 years searching Amazon and eventually stumbled upon this.

Whatever the case, I found there were no reviews on YouTube so I decided to grab one of these and make my own, in case you were considering this brand.
